Project Management Certification

The project management association IPMA® (International Project Management Association) comprises currently 50 member associations and represents 53.00 members, mainly in Europe, but also in Africa, America and Asia.

The certification according to IPMA® in Austria is carried out by PROJEKT MANAGEMENT AUSTRIA (pma). The project management certifications by PROJEKT MANAGEMENT AUSTRIA are based on a procedure, validated by IPMA®.

The RGC is accredited as educational institution by PROJEKT MANAGEMENT AUSTIRA. Our educational programmes prepare for the project management certifications for different certification levels (according to IPMA®). Beside our educational programmes we offer specific coaching workshops for the preparation of the project management certification for the IPMA®-level C (project manager), IPMA®-level B (senior project manager) and IPMA® level A (PM executive).

Based on the IPMA® four-level-certification (4-L-C) model pma offers four different certification levels, which can be interpreted as project management career path.


The Project Management Institute (PMI)® is a worldwide acting US-American project management association with more than half a million members and certificate-holder in 125 states worldwide.

PMI® Chapter Austria is the Austrian branch office of the Project Management Institute (PMI)®.

Since October 1st 2009 RGC is an official Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.) of PMI® and prepares individuals for the project management certifications according to PMI® – Project Management Professional (PMP)® and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®.

Our courses optimally prepare for the project management certifications for the different certification levels (according to PMI®). Beside our training programme we offer coaching workshops for the preparation of the project management certifications according to PMI®.

PMI® offers – accordingly to the knowledge and experience of the candidates – several individual certifications.

Re-certification according to IPMA®

The re-certification (after 5 years) conduces to the perpetuation of the proof of qualification for project managers, senior project managers and PM executives. Requirements for the re-certifications are the proof of job-related project activities operations as well as advanced training in project management with a minimum duration of 175 hours. Re-certification according to the Project Management Institute, Inc. (PMI)®

PMI® certified Project Management Professionals (PMP)® have to acquire “Professional Development Units” (PDUs) throughout project management related advancements in order to gain the claim to keep their certificate. The acquired PDUs have to be announced to PMI® ( Within the 3-years validness of the certificate as PMP® certificate holders have to prove at least 60 PDUs. RGC is a PMI® Registered Education Provider. Participants of RGC seminars and courses can acquire PDUs.
